Take what is essentially a two person Dungeons & Dragons
adventuring party consisting of an overpowered chaotic neutral Magic
User (Sorceror for you Third Edition types) who'd be chaotic good by
temperment, if it weren't for her fondness for bits of black magic, a
typical dumb fighter; make the Magic User an adolescent girl so the
banter can include small-breast jokes; toss in a few unexpected plot
twists and stereotypical adventure music, and you've got The Slayers.
Lots of things get blown up, brigands, dragons, towns, people, . . .
but the human characters seem to get singed, rather than destroyed, so
there really isn't much of a parental warning on this one.
Light entertainment.
